El Azteca - Ames

Even though the restaurant was empty, we were sat in a corner with no TVs or anything to look at when booths were obviously open. Couldn't see the football game, and one of the workers stood by our table the ENTIRE time we were there. Both ended up getting food poisoning. Complete waste of a whole day from getting sick, and a waste of $50. Never coming back.

Best service in Ames. Even when packed their service is still exceptional. Salsa within 1 min of getting seated and food within 10 min of ordering although the food is often faster than 10 min I’ve had it be as fast as 5 min multiple times. I’d give this place 6 stars if it was possible.

Best in Ames. Super fast and just excellent quality authentic Mexican food. Their salsa is terrific. A great treat every time we've gone. Never disappointed.

I've been all over the country. I've had a lot of Mexican food, even in Mexico. This is hands down one of the best I've had in the US. Food was amazing, service was fantastic and very friendly. Prices were even good vs quantity AND quality. I will definitely remember this place in my travels !! Thank all your staff for the excellent service.

Great dining experience. Service, food, atmosphere and prices top shelf! Had Chicken Enchilada Verdes. Meal generally comes with guacamole salad instead of rice and beans. Substituted the guacamole salad for rice and beans and they did not up charge the dinner. Will definitely return! Highly recommend!!!
