Situé au cœur de 80 acres de parc privé, Yewfield offre un cadre idyllique pour les amoureux de la nature et les passionnés de randonnée. Que vous souhaitiez faire une promenade tranquille ou un véritable trek vers les sommets, notre domaine est une invitation à l’exploration dans ce parc national unique. Les jardins, paisibles et reposants, vous permettront de profiter pleinement des vues magnifiques ou, lors des journées plus fraîches, de vous installer confortablement près de la cheminée du salon avec un bon livre. Nos appartements sont ouverts toute l’année avec des offres de dernière minute, répondant aussi bien aux séjours de courte durée qu’aux escapades prolongées. Chaque vendredi et samedi soir, savourez un dîner trois plats à 34 par personne, incluant des options sans gluten et véganes. Le menu typique propose des douceurs comme la polenta cuite au four accompagnée d'une tapenade d’olives, un rôti de noix de pécan, courgette et champignons en croûte servi avec pommes de terre rôties, légumes grillés, compote de pomme et sauce, ou encore une lasagne végétarienne aux lentilles Puy et légumes méditerranéens. Pour finir, craquez pour un crumble aux fruits rouges ou une tarte frangipane, servis avec crème ou glace. Nous proposons également une offre en milieu de semaine valable jusqu’en mars 2026 : 3 nuits en Bed Breakfast, accompagnées de deux dîners deux plats pour deux personnes dans les restaurants Zeffirellis ou Fellinis. Les tarifs varient selon le type de chambre, de 465 pour une chambre standard à 540 pour une suite. L’accueil se fait à partir de 15h jusqu’à 22h, avec un système pratique en cas d’arrivée tardive. Pendant votre séjour, un service de ménage est disponible sur demande pour les chambres B B et pour les appartements en location à la semaine. Yewfield fait aussi vivre la culture locale avec des concerts de musique classique et contemporaine réunissant des artistes de renommée mondiale. Par ailleurs, notre gestion durable des terrains est au cœur de nos actions, avec un projet innovant visant à transformer la forêt en une source de chauffage écologique grâce à une production locale de bois déchiqueté. First place I've been that has tofu scramble and chia pudding as breakfast options. Really nice place, great food and super friendly staff. Updated from previous review on 2024-08-05
We have stayed at Yewfield several times. The hotel itself is lovely, lots of Indian art and clean, luxurious rooms. The breakfast has lots of vegan options, including full English breakfast with scrambled tofu.
Yewfield is a family owned guest house and is an imposing building set in eighty acres of grounds, in a very quiet location, so if peace and getting away from it all are your thing, it is perfect. Yewfield is ideal for walkers, with lots of walks setting off right from the front door and Hawkshead village is only a short distance to either walk or drive. There are self catering apartments to the rear of Yewfield, if you prefer to do your own thing and we will consider staying here in the future, as we also like self catering. We booked three nights to celebrate hubby's birthday and our wedding anniversary, staying in Vale View, a suite at the front of the house with amazing views over the valley. Vale View is a beautiful room with a big bed, sofa and seating area, large TV, music system and DVD player, tea and coffee facilities and a huge bathroom with massive jacuzzi bath and walk in shower, just the ticket after a long day walking. Due to Covid you order breakfast the night before, via a website link sent prior to your visit, which worked well throughout our stay and you dine in either the beautiful panelled dining room or conservatory. There is a good selection of breakfast options, including continental and cooked breakfast, with oat, almond and soya milk and vegan spread available. The food was delicious, the porridge with maple syrup was exceptional, so much so we had it every morning and hubby loved the scrambled tofu and had that every day too. There is a guest lounge where you can read or just chill out and relax and I bet its lovely in winter with a roaring fire. On the first floor landing there is a seating area, with a selection of DVD's to watch and a guest fridge with a selection of plant milks and jugs to take to the room. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Yewfield, we had a great time, even though the weather was torrential rain for our three days there and will definitely revisit. Highly recommended.
We loved it here. The rooms weee clean and comfortable. It was nice to snuggle up with an open fire. The breakfast was brilliant and plentiful. I would definitely go again.
