Menu is fairly limited on choice compared to many pubs but still enough for most people to find something. Food was well cooked and hot and tasty though good rather than exceptional. Still enjoyed a good value meal after a long walk in the beautiful surrounding countryside.

The staff are super friendly and so were all the other customers too. Such a lovely place with a lovely atmosphere. I had the hunters chicken (which was delicious!! and the member of staff also bought out a napkin filled with dog treats for my dog

It has a really nice warm feel about it and the service and food were simply excellent. I had the mixed meat (beef and pork) and my wife had the pork and it was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. I had tomato soup to start delicious and finished with white chocolate and limoncello cheesecake outstanding. We thought it was well priced and worth every penny. Staff were very helpful without being fussy or overbearing which we prefer. Dog friendly too. Seats outside for when the weather is better and a decent size beer garden too. Thought it was fantastic and we will definitely return. Highly recommend. update called in today (14/06/26) and, despite it being busy it was even better than last week. Lovely, friendly service and a cracking Sunday roast. Absolutely excellent.
