Al Frescos - AMBLESIDE

My own and my partner had a 3-day camping experience in the forest part. the location was beautiful and the personal was amazing. my only problem is that our ton height had a cement under the floor and so we couldn't put the pegs in the floor as they always met the rocks.

Lovely camp site, showers are nice, drinking water available. It's very clean and there's lots to do near by! The lake is ace take a dingy boat

A Fantastic Holiday I could not have been more pleased with this location , everything was really great , there was lots of space and everyone was really friendly, it’s amazing being so close to lake Windermere. Cannot recommend it enough . A fabulous place to stay

Brilliant location and excellent facilities at this site. I was here for a few days with my daughter and we enjoyed camping and spending time in the lake as we were able to launch our boat from the site. We will definitely be back.

During our second visit, as we made our way to the parking area, we were delighted by the sight of a robin that led us along a short path to a beautiful clearing by the water. The scenic surroundings, adorned with trees, created a picturesque atmosphere full of dappled sunlight, which later gave way to rain. We were thrilled to discover that sourdough pizza was available nearby, especially since the local pizza shop was closed when we last attempted to order. It's best to check their opening times beforehand. We made sure to pick up some beer and cider from their online store, which offered an IOU option for the following day since they had limited stock. In light of the ongoing Covid situation, the establishment has been diligent with cleaning protocols, ensuring clear timelines for usage. The level of cleanliness was even better than what I experienced at home upon returning from Buttermere. If you're considering staying, they offer pods and facilities for vehicles with electrical hookups. Enjoy your visit; we certainly did, even feeding the ducks with the leftover food we brought along!
