Everything was nice here, coffee and atmosphere. very traditional and authentic, the owners were really friendly and it is a nice and cozy place to go.

Large baked in the classic German contitory atmosphere. café and cake. look at what they want, order and enjoy. they don't find so much anymore, they're going away. so they enjoy these when they are in the city!

On the way to prag, we spent a sunny afternoon to walk around the city. After seeing the sights, we decided to enjoy the classic caffe and the cake (coffee and cake) for which German bakery shops are listed. the cafe dobmeier has a timeless...appearance of a small city café. the great selection of cakes made clear on the ground were fantastic. the ingredients were the first advice and I must think the recipes must have been in the family for years. our coffee and cake were very cheap, which even made us happier with our choice for a afternoon break. all waiters (and a woman I accept to be a woman dobmeier) were very pleasant and accommodating of our poor German. in a Europe that is increasingly homogenized with chain restaurants and dieucks, this caffe was the actual offer and should be visited.

Traditional cake and coffee place in amberg, more than 40 years experience and art on the old fashion style.

Stopping in Amberg on our way to Prague, we spent a sunny afternoon walking around town. After seeing the sights, we decided to enjoy the classic cafe and kuchen (coffee and cake) for which German pastry shops are noted. The Cafe Dobmeier has a timeless...appearance of a small town cafe. The wide variety of cakes, which were clearly made on the premises, were fantastic. The ingredients were first rate and I have to think the recipes must have been in the family for years. Our coffee and cake were very reasonably priced which left us even happier with our choice for an afternoon break. All of the waiters (and a woman who I assume to be Frau Dobmeier) were all very pleasant and accommodating of our poor German. In a Europe that is increasingly becoming homogenized with chain restaurants and Starbucks, this cafe was the real deal and should be visited.
