Sit back and relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Old country momma's cooking. Hand dipped ice cream to indulge in. Family favorites everyone can enjoy. What better way to end a down home cooked meal than with a dish of pie and American favorite ice cream. Amust return favorite.
Fantastic place! The dinner salad was cold and crisp, with homemade croutons and dressing. Our meals were delicious well seasoned but not crazy salty. Fries were hot and crispy. Servers were attentive, and empty glasses were quickly refilled. Theperfectly crunchable pellet ice was great, too! It was lovely hearing locals greeting one another, and as I was checking outone of the servers was telling another about how one of the customers had made her the custom apron with pockets. If we're everback in Alva, we'll definitely be eating here.
Excellent food! My top two choices are the Chicken Fried Chicken sandwich and the Chicken Fried Steak—both are the best I've ever had. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. It's a fantastic family-owned restaurant with a great local vibe. Oh, and I can't forget to mention the homemade pie; the peanut butter pie is a must-try!
The restaurant offers incredible homemade dishes made from locally sourced ingredients. The place is impeccably clean, and the service is consistently excellent.
