Alta Lodge

I spent a few days here for a friend's wedding in September 2023, and I have to say, the staff has been exceptionally friendly and helpful. I want to give a special shoutout to Sarah! She was in charge of catering all the wedding meals over the three days, and she went above and beyond. When my partner and I arrived late and found that dinner had already been served and cleaned up, she noticed how hungry we were and went into the kitchen to prepare some plates for us. In the following days, she made a point to bring hors d'oeuvres to us in the crowd to ensure we were well-fed. Sarah has a fantastic sense of humor and really took care of everyone. Thank you, Sarah!

We visited for brunch and were disappointed. The service was just okay, and many of the baked goods seemed dry for some reason. Overall, I would rate the experience as follows: Rooms: 3, Service: 3, Location: 3.

Had a lovely midweek stay at Alta Lodge this summer. The room was clean, the lodge quiet, and the scenery extraordinary. Breakfast was made fresh, and the staff was very attentive and friendly. As a UTAH resident, I will certainly be back in the low season to enjoy fresh air, away from the hustle and bustle of urban life in SLC. Rooms: 5

Oh my goodness, it's stunning! Situated high in the mountains, you can gaze down at the clouds. With over 802 inches of snow this year, it might not all melt away until July or August—how incredible is that? There’s so much fun to be had here, just be cautious when driving up and down the mountains; your ears will definitely pop! Nearby activities: Make the most of your time and stay outdoors all day.

The Alta Lodge is one of my favorite places to stay in Alta and in the world. The service is exemplary yet low-key, rooms are impeccably designed and maintained, the food is excellent, and the atmosphere is cozy and perfect for a ski vacation. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5
