What Daniel Barber doesn't like about Alston House:
Had the beef dinner. It wasn’t really up to scratch. Didn’t enjoy the beef was very tough and over done. I don’t think the Yorkshire’s were home made. Would have been lower but the service pulled it back up. All food came out together and hot. Other peoples meals looked ok.. just avoid the beef. Service: 4 Location: 4 View all feedback. While some menu items, like the beef dinner, fell short, the majority of dishes received rave reviews, including salmon, pie, and the standout lasagne. With generous portions, the food balances quality and value, making it a local favorite. The garden setting enhances family-friendly outings, dog owners appreciate the welcoming vibe, and attentive staff ensure every need is met. For a mix of cozy ambiance and delectable cuisine, Alston House remains a must-visit for both locals and travelers alike.
Chef and staff are lethal. Class spot, unreal food, comfy rooms and everyone is sound. 10/10 would go back and highly recommend to others.
