I absolutely love staying here whenever I travel, especially during warm weather. The view of the Snake River is stunning, whether looking upriver or toward the town of Alpine. It’s truly beautiful! If you’re visiting the area, be sure to stay here and check out the bar or restaurant. Take a walk down to the river and enjoy the view toward Hoback Junction, where the mountains meet the river and the hills and grass gently slope away from the rocks.
I’m a local, and I had 11 family members visiting this week. Since they all wanted a steak dinner and were staying in Alpine, we chose the steakhouse at Flying Saddle Resort. Everyone ordered steaks and couldn’t have been happier! Every cut was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. Nate was our server, and the service was outstanding. Thank you for making this a memorable dinner for my family!
We enjoyed one of the best continental breakfasts we've ever had, and we were already leaning towards giving a 5-star review even before we took a bite! The true highlight of this place is the kindness of the staff; it really makes the experience special. The views are a fantastic bonus! Our room was clean, and check-out was a breeze.
We stayed here for one night on our way back from Yellowstone, and we were pleasantly surprised. The place is very clean and comfortable, especially after the cramped accommodations we had at the park. The bar and restaurant exceeded our expectations. Plus, the complimentary bagel breakfast with coffee was a nice touch. I would definitely recommend this place!
I visited Flying Saddle Resort on a Saturday around 6 PM without a reservation, and they seated me immediately, which was a nice surprise. However, it took about 10 minutes to receive a menu and water, and another 10 before my order was taken. I ordered the filet mignon with garlic mashed potatoes and a salad. The steak was undercooked—I requested medium, but it came nearly rare. The mashed potatoes were also disappointing, with some crunchy bits. On the bright side, the crème brûlée I had for dessert was excellent. Overall, I left feeling disappointed, especially given the $50 price. Both the quality and service could use improvement. It might have just been an off night, so I’d consider returning if I’m in the area again.
