What Dan Micucci doesn't like about Canadian Cafe:
I work across the street from this cafe and decided to try it out for my post-lunch espresso instead of my usual trip to Starbucks. Unfortunately, I will not be returning. When I entered the empty cafe, the unfriendly employee did not greet me and instead stared at me in silence until I placed my order. Nice quality pastries and sandwich options.Great space for study and meetings. French inspired decor in a heritage home. Was pretty empty for a Saturday evening so expect plenty of seating for small to medium parties. Nice decor and spaced out well for privacy if needed.
Really good lattes!!! Absolutely get the monster cookie!!! It is loaded with chocolate chunks, mmmmm good! Not a bad little patio but the cool spot is upstairs. Pretty neat seating area. Especially great for coffee and conversation!
Our friends treated us to a late lunch at this restaurant and we were really impressed with the food. Despite living an hour away, we have returned multiple times since then. We always end up leaving with a treat to enjoy at home.
The outdoor seating area is beautiful. You can bring your bike right into the seating area if it's not too crowded. They are bike-friendly and easy to access from the Trillium bike trail. The food and desserts are great, reminding us of a European cafe. We enjoy biking here from the west end. Parking is easier if you walk or bike here, but there are nearby parking options on Preston Street.
