We had dinner at this lovely restaurant tonight and overall it was a good experience compared to 3 years ago. The service was excellent, really friendly staff and quick turnaround, really happy with that. The food was amazing, the Crème brûlée was to die for and love the porcini risotto. The place was warm and cosy considering the cold weather outside. My Mum was really satisfied with the friendly and fast service as... View all feedback.
What Dimitrina Grigoras doesn't like about Little Italy:
We had previously had a poor experience at this restaurant. After the original owner returned we gave it another go. It wasn't any better, but it was obvious that they were still settling in. So we gave it another chance this year, and were yet again disappointed. The restaurant is loud, and seating is packed in like sardines. Our order seemed to take a long time to come out, and part of it was missing. The "manager"... View all feedback.
Very disappointed. Firstly, the waitress seemed confused when we came in and told her that we had called to book a table for 2. We ordered a glass of wine, a pasta and a pizza. The waitress returned to tell me that they we out of 2 of the 3 Australian red wines. We waited over half an hour for our flavourless pesto fettuccine, had to ask for some pepper, Parmesan and a serving spoon. We had finished the pasta and the pizza had still not arrived! I went up to the counter to ask the waitress about our pizza, she was busy with another customer, so I asked the pizza chef if he had put our pizza in the oven yet, was completely ignored. Looking into the pizza oven I could see there was no pizza in there, so when the waitress was free, I asked her if she could cancel the pizza and we would just pay for what we had eaten, to which the pizza chef rudely interjected "I ran out of chicken, that's why I didn't make your pizza" when I responded that you need to tell... read more
Food is tasteless. Empty restaurant and still took forever for food to arrive. It was too dark in there and i cant believe how rude the staff were. They ignored and avoided us and made rude comments and jokes. Pathetic excuse for a restaurant would never go back and would tell others to not even bother
If it was possible to give no stars, I would. Firstly, the food arrived one hour after order. That was understandable because they seemed severely understaffed for a full house on a Saturday night. However, what was not acceptable was that they did NOT apologise for the food delay and only told me they had no pumpkin soup AFTER I asked them when it was coming. Another complaint is that the prawn on the seafood pizza still had their tails attached. This made eating the pizza extremely infuriating and uncomfortable as I had to complete the preparation myself. In a dish that requires cutlery, I think keeping tails on the prawn is fine, but not on dishes such as pizza. The final complaint is about their appalling customer service and disgraceful hospitality. Upon providing feedback to the boss during payment, I alerted him on the prawn tail issue and was met with an uninviting and spiteful attitude. It was clear that the restaurant had changed owners and for... read more

The manager came out at this point, meekly apologised, told his pizza chef to stop talking and processed our bill. Ended up going to another pizzeria to finish our dinner. Will definitely not be returning to "Little Italy"!
