Sonic Drive-in - Algonquin
Sonic Drive-in
Description
Once a beloved fast-food staple, Sonic’s recent performance has disappointed many longtime patrons. Complaints highlight shrinking portions, inflated prices, and food quality far below expectations, with cold, stale meals and missing ingredients becoming commonplace. Mobile ordering glitches have caused long waits and incorrect orders, diminishing customer satisfaction further. Despite these issues, Sonic’s breakfast menu, especially the Super Sonic Breakfast Burrito, remains a favored choice for those seeking convenient, flavorful morning options. While some still appreciate the breakfast offerings, overall, this location struggles to maintain the reliable quality and service that once defined the Sonic experience.

Every time I go and get food, it seems soggy. And the buns on the burgers and hotdogs are ALWAYS stale. Hard as a rock. Never had one within the last year that wasn't stale. I don't go often. Mostly just for the cherry limeade, but I HATE getting food there. I used to work at this location when it first opened too. Had gone so far downhill since then.
Sonic used to be one of our favorite restaurants back in North Carolina during the 1990s. Unfortunately, things have changed quite a bit. The food portions have become ridiculously small, and the prices have gone through the roof. The burgers are tiny and lack any substantial meat. The food bears little resemblance to the pictures, and the prices are simply not justified. You’d be better off going to Chili’s for a lunch combo burger with fries for just $10 (3 for $10) than dealing with Sonic.
Put in a mobile order for pick up and waited 25 minutes for someone to answer , had to press the call button twice , did not get a response or my food and had to leave despite already paying my order online.
