Poor selection of ice cream and this is their peak season. NO air conditioning inside made for a very uncomfortable, sweaty wait. We couldn’t wait to get back outside where it was 90 and felt cooler. Paper straws are ridiculous 2 minutes inside the shake and they’re collapsing on themselves.
I ordered an iced coffee and they gave me a hot coffee and said too bad
8$ for a single scoop is a bit much...even if the con is a specialty cone But other then that, very tasty ice cream. I had there Reese ice cream. It 's damn good! But 8$...One in awhile I guess I can deal with it.
Riverbottom is a fantastic ice cream shop located in the heart of downtown. The staff is incredibly friendly and the desserts are absolutely delicious! I highly recommend this place. After performing at several Open Mic Nights here with my band, the staff went above and beyond to help us connect with a nearby restaurant for a show and even came out to show their support. This is a wonderful family-owned business that I frequently recommend to my friends, especially if they are looking for a refreshing treat in the summer!
The ice cream at this restaurant is fantastic. My top choices are cookies and cream and strawberry. It's a hip location in the center of downtown Algonquin. The owner is friendly and I highly recommend stopping by for coffee, ice cream, or both!
