Have to say I had a pretty disappointing experience at Slapfish winrock. I've eaten here a couple of times before and the quality was acceptable, but this time I gave in to my cravings and ordered the lobster roll. What I received did not come anywhere near my expectation. The lobster roll was unbelievably expensive at $30. A sandwich full of claw tips which don't even qualify as lobster meat in my opinion. I could have bought two whole lobsters and cook them myself for that price. And I promise you I could have done a better job. If you're going to charge for premium lobster, then you better be putting pieces of the whole lobster in there not just some rubbery tips.
I've now gone here a couple of times. It's kinda crazy how they're not really that busy but their food is fantastic. The staff are very welcoming and there is quite a selection of stuff you can choose from. The sodas are not the typical provided by Tractor Soda Co. But they are fantastic and have real sugar. This has made it to my top 5 for food in Albuquerque.
Witnessed humanity at its finest today thanks to our server Jessica! Not only did she provide exceptional customer service, but we saw and heard her interaction with a customer who appeared to be a Streetperson. He was disheveled, clothes and face dirty, but Jessica served him a meal and spoke to and treated him with such dignity. All restaurants need great humans like Jessica working for them!
