Nestled in Albuquerque, this boutique chocolatier tempts with standout mochas, macarons and classic caramel‑chocolate apples, plus thoughtful gift packs and a cozy, game‑friendly interior. Staff are consistently warm and service-oriented, and holiday offerings shine. However, prices run high and labeling can be unclear, and several visitors report a persistent, unpleasant odor that undermines an otherwise attractive spot for chocolate lovers and gift shoppers.
Chocolate covered apples are my favorite! I like them with caramel and chocolate only, other places usually have them with 20 other toppings but I really like how they have the chocolate and caramel covered apple without other toppings. I truly enjoy the ambiance and it’s always good to play a little game while enjoying good chocolate. I love it here
The selection of truffles and other chocolate delights is excellent. The staff was friendly and offered helpful recommendations.
Chocolate dude has the best hot chocolate mochas around. I think they make their own cocoa powder? Their macarons are great, by far the best anywhere in NM honestly some of the best I’ve had. The staff is always friendly, helpful, patient with all my questions. This is my favorite place to go for a treat/sugar rush. It’s also great for host gifts (6pk macarons, truffle packs), or gifts in general for the chocolate lovers in your life. The advent calendars are a great way to try a variety of truffles at the holidays.
The chocolate is quite decent, and the service is satisfactory, but the odor in the shop is quite unpleasant. On our first visit, there was a strange mix of chocolate and wet dog scent. We found it odd but shrugged it off since it was our first experience, and there was still a hint of chocolate in the air. However, when we returned today, the smell was overwhelming. My wife and kids couldn't stay because it was so off-putting. It's safe to say we won't be returning.
