Starters set the tone well; the vitello tonnato was delicately flavoured, and the tartare (haché, not ground) was beautiful. But the mains were simply ordinary uninspiring pasta and duck that could have been anywhere . Having a few high end wines available by the glass is a welcome touch, but service in general was spotty. There 's nothing wrong here, exactly but given our high expectations, we left a bit disappointed.

On Dec 26 we wanted a meal within walking distance from our lodging and were fortunate that this place had an available table. In addition to finding a cozy retreat on a chilly winter evening, we enjoyed friendly service, good food, and an excellent wine list. All in all a delightful meal, recommended.
