We had a breakfast here and the service was great, croissant very nice and coffee good sunny terrace . Nice place for a light breakfast or drink.
Good beer, nice snacks, friendly and welcoming service. Well placed in the cathedral square, this is an decent watering-hole.
I was looking for some kind of pasta with truffle is Alba and this place told me he could prepare it even is out of season for the lovely autumn truffle. The problem is that the para was so badly done and untasty that there was nothing a summer truffle could hardly improve. Certainly it must be tens of restaurants in Alba better than this one
My girlfriend and I had the pasta with truffle which was tasteful, but the pasta with meat saus of our children wasn 't. When asking for a Roero Arneis white wine we were initially told that they didn 't have it, since it didn 't show up in their handheld through which they placed the orders. However when arriving with the drinks it turned they did have it, so that was a nice surprise. They have a big covered terrasse with a nice view over a square next to a church. The only downside was that the volume of the music they played was quite loud. Things to take into account, they charge extra per 'couvert ' and for the Parmesan cheese that comes with the pasta. All in all a good experience, but nothing exceptional.
We are traveling with another family. Total 6 people. We were greeted as soon as we arrived with friendly smiles, free coffee made to order, hot tea and a croissant for my daughter. We were then invited to breakfast, included in room rate. Then shown our rooms, both of which were spacious, clean and nice decorated. This is a 5 star visit for sure. Also, I only speak English and there is a lady (I believe the owner or manager) who speaks perfect English which made life very easy for us. Nice place!!
