We came down so my husband could do some fishing at Lake fork. Afterwards we decided to grab a bite to eat. My husband got the Marsala, which he loved. My daughter got a meat lovers pizza. It was amazing. Homemade and bubbly. I had broccoli pasta with garlic and olive oil. We had a new waitress and she was great! What Sarah I doesn't like about Verona Italian Cafe:
We do NOT recommend Veronas. We watched while they brought incorrect orders to an adjacent table. Then they delivered our food....all except my husband's sandwich. When they finally brought his steak cheese sub....it had no mayo. We attempted to return it to the kitchen as they do not carry mayo at all....that the waitress and cooked failed to notify us. Both the manager and owner said they had to charge us. NO sense... View all feedback.
Best Italian food around. Been eating here for years. Spaghetti with Italian sausage or meat balls is the the best I've ever had. If you like pizza there is no better. Veronas special xl pizza is huge and so good. Nice atmosphere with TVs and country feel.
I have eaten here twice and i loved it, such a cozy place. Loved the lasagna and Alfredo pizza(wish they wouldn't charge a topping though: but overall great lunch specials and just a great Italian menu.
A great place to have Italian. I have never had anything that is not delicious. Their rolls are light, buttery and always hot. Salad meals are huge as are all the entrees. The wait staff is always friendly, but there is a lot of turnover so you may experience less than knowledgeable table staff. My meals have always been so plentiful I have never had room for dessert so cannot comment on them.
I have tried Verona at lunch and dinner servngs. Now i have had Italian food in London England and also San Jose California but Veeona is my favorite overall. Their Minestone soyp is great and akso their pasta dishes.
Very mixed reviews on this place. Neighbors drove us 45 minutes to get here. Seemed like quaint little Italian place. Wait staff was nice and helpful. Food was generally good. We shared the Artichoke Spinach Dip as an appetizer, with bread. We were brought our side salads , which were pretty skimpy, some iceberg lettuce with 1 slice of tomato and 3 little slices of olives (no other vegs etc? My hub had Lobster ravioli, he loved (which was actually inside ravioli vs bits in a sauce I had Chicken Parm, which was one of the best I 've had, but didn 't care for spaghetti. We shared the chocolate mousse cake for dessert. Very rich, glad we ordered the chocolate sauce on the side because it was clearly Hersey 's from the bottle (which the cake didn 't need . .... Altho food was generally good and prices were good as well, I was shocked to find this BYOB. I 've never in my life experienced a restaurant being BYOB! Very disappointed to not be able to order a glass of wine with my dinner (unless I 'd known and brought my own Also the plastic plates and cups- just felt cheap to eat off of, especially the cheap blue tumblers for drinks. And didn 't care for country music playing in an Italian restaurant. I don 't believe there were any gluten free options available.
