Great flavors all around. The reason for a star deduction is pork chops were off the shoulder end and not a center cut so there were a lot of little bones and cartilage, also they were extremely thin for a dish that's over 14 dollars a plate. It wasseasoned nicely though. Also I never understood why you have to order rice on the side. Who is eating just a pork chop with norice? Secondly the firecracker chicken was quite a letdown compared to the rest of the meal. Over cooked, mushy and not a goodflavor. The Vietnamese restaurant caters more to the average American who probably wouldn't be excited to eat porkblood/tripe/and tendons because it's been ommited for a nontraditional crowd. Despite that though the flavors are there.

I stopped here for a spontaneous meal while I was in Alameda for work, and I'm so glad I did. I will definitely seize any chance to return. The welcoming service was only outdone by the excellent quality of the food.
