It was surprisingly busy for a Monday morning, and there was only... read more Just an average breakfast place, conveniently located close to the highway and nearby hotels. It was surprisingly busy for a Monday morning, and there was only one server and cook working. Obviously this slowed service down significantly, but our server did a good job managing all the tables, and we were happy with his friendliness and efficiency. On the other hand, the food was disappointing. I ordered the smoked salmon eggs benedict, and I didn't even need to take my first bite to know that the salmon was past it's prime. The overpoweringly fishy odour and taste gave away it's age, and I would have sent it back if I hadn't felt bad with the server already being so busy. The potatoes were edible. Overall, I think if you stuck with the regular breakfast staples like eggs, bacon, and toast, it'd be an acceptable spot to stop for a meal.

Food was served quick... read more First time visiting this place and it was great, Kaitlin my server was awesome ,friendly efficient and knew when to fill my coffee cup up. Food was served quick , hot , generous portion and very tasty. I loved the fact they served fresh fruit. I will add this to my lists of best breakfasts in Ajax. I will return. Enjoy their free Wi_FI.

The ambience is reminiscent of a classic diner; there are always newspapers available upon request (or you can grab one yourself), the TVs are tuned to the news... read more The ambience is reminiscent of a classic diner; there are always newspapers available upon request (or you can grab one yourself), the TVs are tuned to the news, and the restrooms are exceptionally clean and pleasantly scented. While it's possible for them to occasionally serve a less-than-perfect dish, I understand that mistakes happen; even my mom burns a meal now and then! I've visited Eggsmart numerous times with friends, family, my girlfriend, and even by myself, and I can count on one hand the number of times something went awry. To me, that’s an impressive track record, and I’m certainly a loyal customer.
