When we checked at the Blumenthal Hotel Castle, we were told that the restaurant was closed at 10 a.m. At 19:30, my husband and daughter went to the restaurant... read more When we checked at the Blumenthal Hotel Castle, we were told that the restaurant was closed at 10 a.m. At 19:30, my husband and daughter went to the restaurant and asked to watch the menu. Unlike other restaurants where we ate on the romantic street, there were no English menus and the bartender seemed insulted upon request. She gave them unwillingly German menus, which we could mostly read. Finally, Schnitzel is schnitzel and bratwurst is bratwurst. At 8:35 we came to the restaurant and sat. In the dining room a party was finished and a young man regularly cleaned his table. He looks at us about three times, but nobody tried to wait for us. Finally at 8:55 we asked how we can do it when we see a menu. A waitress came and communicated that the kitchen was closed at 9 so we couldn't. Maybe she said no soup for you. Busboy said to her with Dekain, and they're Americans. So in the land of the sausage, Schnitzel, Knödel and Spatzle, this night, we had to eat fresh in a subway!
