Feedback
Hugely enjoyed a lunch at La Table de Stephane in fact the best meal we've had in Agde in several years. In the unlikely location of the industrial estate of Sept Fonts on the outskirts of Agde the restaurant offers a comfortable,...air-conditioned and attractive space to enjoy very high quality fare. We were lucky: the restaurant's website still offers a euro, course, luncheon menu which the staff assumed was no longer available, it being high tourist season in Agde. They courteously backed down after we threatened to leave, and offered us a menu at the old price, although with only a few choices. But the dishes on offer were outstanding! We had generous and innovative starters, and our two main courses, magret de canard and a filet of dorade often seen on Cap d'Agde menus were beautifully prepared, spiced and garnished with interesting vegetable choices. The duck was tender and cooked to perfection. In fact, everything was produced to a standard higher than normally delivered in restaurants in the Agde area in tourist season. Deserving of a Michelin star, our lunch will be remembered for a long time, and we will gladly recommend La Table de Stephane to everyone we meet. A pity that they felt they didn't need to offer the prix fixe menu during August. Judging by the small number of tables occupied on a Wednesday lunchtime, they might be wise to revert to their former special. people might benefit from fine dining'. Service was excellent, although no pichers of wine were available.
