Been to the Thai Chef for Dinner (2 kids 2 adulte). What can I say? It was great. Kids hat the chicken satay with peanut sauce. Super yummy. I hat the spicy duck curry which was great. Significant other had chicken which was yummy, too. We had entree, 3 mains and two kids meals plus water plus bottle oft wine plus soda for 100 bucks. Really reasonable for a great Thai experience. Friendly and helpful Staff. View all feedback.
What Elyse Roberts doesn't like about Thai Chef:
The Thai Chef has a dated look from the outside and on the inside. The service was good and the food was pretty good. We received a complementary serve of chicken wings due to one of our requests from the menu was unavailable. View all feedback.
Can't complain about this nice eatery. Great value meals as they provided a free entree and the serves were quite generous. The food seemed a bit more Chinese than Thai but it still tasted good to me! This is the type of place you come to for a quick, satisfying, affordable feed. We will definitely make this a regular haunt!
Arrived into Adelaide for a stop over. Funny thing about Adelaide the restaurants seem to close for business Sunday nights. This limits ones choice when deciding where or what too eat. Managed to get a table here at Thai Chef. Luck was on my side as the place was fully booked. Gets better by the minute as I am served up a complementary tasting plate. King Prawns Choo Chee and a Traditional Pad Thai made up my order. Food was good. Service brisk ensuing the dinner is not left wondering. If you are looking for an honest feed of Thai you won't be disappointed. Being close to the city you might even hear the church bells ringing if you listen hard enough.
I went here with my nanna, and this is her review: "We, didn't order soup, why they bring out soup? (It was complimentary). I like the spring rolls, they are nice. At markets I can't find good spring rolls. They are always frozen. I like these ones, Were they chicken? Or were the vegetables? (Chicken grandma, for the 10th time it's chicken) Soft shell Crab was too salty. Salt is bad for your health. You will die if you eat salt... STOP EATING THE SALT. (I continued to eat it) Pad Thai... She said nothing cause she was too busy eating it. Dumplings; no, no good. It's like my shoes, I don't like it. (she was wearing leather shoes)
Went in for a late lunch and was served a generous serve of Vegetable fried rice along with butter prawns. Good food and nice attentive staff.
I had mixed feelings for this one. They offer free dishes/entries and the service is excellent. There is at least one very good dish which is the black pepper beef fillet and it is easy to park close by. But they don't have enough good dishes for a large group, and majority of the dishes are just above average but slightly over priced.
