Their ciabatta i... read more Skala Bakery is renowned for its exceptional breads, having been a staple in Port Adelaide for years with a retail outlet in the Market Arcade. Their ciabatta is fantastic, and their baguettes are truly outstanding. Nearly all their breads—including sourdoughs and potato breads—are excellent. What I love most, however, are their seasonal treats. At Christmas, they craft what I believe are the best fruit mince pies in Adelaide, along with a delicious marzipan-filled speculaas biscuit that's about the size of a dinner plate. Their Hot Cross Buns at Easter are also top-notch. They offer a solid selection of pies and pasties, and their cornflake cookies are delightfully tasty. It’s old-fashioned quality at its best.
