Lovely little cafe around the corner. We had brunch there today with friends. The decoration of the place is just so hip and cool! Super friendly staffs and amazing brunch! View all feedback.

What Oksana Kütt dislikes about Cafe Troppo:
Ordered the little thing and bravo breakfast. Staff were awesome, lovely atmosphere! Food portions were very small. One piece of bread for each serve and for $17 a serve, we expected more. Flavour was lacking although the menu sounded appealing! Coffee was ok. Would come back if we were limited for options as we left still hungry. View all feedback.

Honest review here. Went for breakfast here yesterday, and have been before. Have left very impressed both times. Location is a good selling point here as parking is plentiful (mostly ticket but 2 hr is fairly cheap) and easy to get to. You could walk to markets after if you had to. Seating outside perfect for sunny days but better inside when cold - service is fantastic! Ordered the winter poachie which is two poached eggs on bread with beetroot and winter vegies on the side, and avocado smash. For coffee i had the almond milk latte. Breakfast was superb - a little on the small serving side, as i counted only 3 small shavings of beetroot. Not enough in my opinion - although the beetroot is at least not the canned stuff. The eggs were cooked perfectly and and the rest of the meal was of 4 out of 5 quality. Again , just needed more. The almond latte i ordered (twice now) has been average - they are not getting the process right somewhere as the milk is not blending in with the coffee (separates very quickly).  Bottom line  - if you are really hungry best to look elsewhere or order more than one dish, but if you like great quality food that satisfies - this is up there with the best breakfasts in Adelaide.

We returned to Cafe Troppo this morning, our last visit was in 2014. The Cafe is still as popular as our last visit. The menus are very good and varied to cater for most tastes. The seating options are comfortable, with outside tables on the footpath. The service was friendly and efficient. I must admit on our last visit we thought the coffee was excellent, but today the coffee was right up there with the best. If we lived closer this would become our Cafe of choice. Must return more often when in this area.

Coffee it was very nice but the service was bad. They ignored us since the beginning even though it was not busy at all. A guy took our order but never informed to the barista it was a new order, so he never prepared it, just until we asked again for it and the barista said he didn’t have any order. At the end the barista was nice and prepared it immediately. Price per person: $1–20 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

A hidden gem in the heart of Adelaide! Cafe Troppo is hands down one of the best cafes in Adelaide for anyone seeking great coffee, sustainable food and a relaxed atmosphere. From the moment you step in , you’re greeted with a warm, community-focused vibe that truly reflects the spirit of Adelaide’s vibrant cafe culture. The coffee here is exceptional- consistently smooth and perfectly brewed using ethically sourced beans. I had a flat white that was the best I’ve tasted in the CBD. The food menu is a celebration of local and seasonal produce with plenty of vegan , vegetarian and gluten free options. I had the chilli eggs followed by the vegan carrot cake, both delicious and beautifully presented. Located on Whitmore Square, Cafe Troppo offers a tranquil escape from the city buzz, with a cosy interior and leafy outdoor seating. Their commitment to sustainability and low-waste practices really sets them apart. If you’re looking for a top rated breakfast spot in Adelaide or just want to enjoy locally sourced food and amazing coffee, you can’t go past Cafe Troppo. Highly recommended!
