Feedback
While the ambiance at this restaurant is lovely, the food quality seems to vary. Some found the dishes to be excellent, while others thought the food was average, overpriced, and even unappetizing. Inconsistencies were also noted in terms of service, with some experiencing rude staff and booking mishaps. Despite these issues, the establishment's decor, wine selection, and ambiance received high praise from patrons who enjoyed the concept and flavor profiles of the dishes. Overall, the restaurant offers a unique dining experience that may be worth a visit for those in Adare.
Booked on open table 2 email confirmations and a text on the actual day, text back 1 to confirm or 9 to cancel. 1. arrived at oak and apple to find it in darkness and closed! I tried to call the number, no answer, left speech, no answer.
The food was excellent. but it was very quiet for a Friday evening (only 3 tables at 8:30 a.m.) and despite the acceptance of an 8:30 booking when we were asked after our main course after the Dessert menu, the kitchen was closed for dessert and they had not reported to us in advance.
We love Oak and apple, but service is always a problem, we were served by a pleasant young lady who did not bring water with the menus or write our orders down, said she did not need to as she had worked there a long time, so one dish we ordered was not even available we found out later and one of the starters arrived was wrong, the wine arrived before the water and the bread arrived half way through the meal, it was not a particularly busy night. Rule of service in a restaurant is menus water and bread, then the table is happy, and please have a note pad it's so important.
