We wanted to eat out doors, so this was the place. I have marked it was good, but the overall was more than avergae but a bit less than good.. Avo eggs good, Zucchini slice good. Zucchini fritters with quinoa- fritter was not hot ...they were small. The beetroot was to much for the dish needed another flavour to cut through the beetroot. The fires were nice hot. The Ice chocolate Iced Coffee were good as was the soy... View all feedback.
What Giorgio Storni doesn't like about The Museum Cafe:
Our pumpkin soup was tasty and such a big serve, could not eat it all. The orange and poppyseed cake was also pretty moorish. Cannot complain about the view either, over the lake and beyond. View all feedback.
Just a casual cafe (decent reheated meals in the $10-$20 range) but with a great view over the lake and two balconies, which makes it a good option even if you're not going to the crappy museum.
Situated in the National Museum, this is a great little cafe with food for breakfast, lunch or just a snack. The food is fresh, tasty and the cakes are to die for. It’s not cheap but you don’t feel ripped off. Try and get an...outside seat and take in the views of Canberra’s lake Burley Griffin.
This café is in the museum and is an excellent place to grab a bite during your visit. Such cafes are not always exactly wonderful but in this one the food is good and the view spectacular. The area is bright and cheerful or you...can sit out on the terrace and get an even better view. The food came out quickly and gluten free was not a problem.
We have just recently had lunch at the Museum Cafe. The cafe is licensed has great views. The staff were nice helpful, we found the meals were very nice. We would go there again.
Great selection of sweets, cakes and pastries and barista made coffee was great. I enjoyed the vegan and gluten free dark choc, rasberry tart. have never seen this option anywhere in my travels. Very decadent and delicious.
