We stopped by for... read more Overall, I had a good experience at Subway. There was only one employee working, but he was attentive and efficient in getting our food ready. We stopped by for a quick, healthier meal between soccer games, expecting a nice, cool environment, but it wasn't the case. Despite the disappointment, we decided to stay and eat. I think the owner should address this issue, as it affects the hard-working employee who has to cope with it throughout his shift. A few other families had the same idea and were also let down; one father and son even took their food to the car to escape the heat. I noticed some trash left in the lobby from previous customers, and the soda machine was out, but I understand that it’s challenging to manage a shop alone. My daughter enjoyed the pizza option on the menu since she wasn't in the mood for a sandwich that day. Overall, the food and service were great, but the temperature in the restaurant could definitely use some improvement.

It seems the place has been undergoing remodeling since Covid, but no progress appears to have been made. The same "excuse our mess" sign has been up for a year, with tables and chairs still stacked in the corner.

I waited 20 minutes just to place my order while the staff prioritized DoorDash deliveries without saying anything. Suddenly, one employee started making my sandwich without asking, and by the time I noticed, it was already prepared with veggies and dressing and wrapped up. Because of the long wait, I ended up late for work and had to either take the sandwich as-is or skip lunch altogether. I was charged nearly $20 for cold cuts I never ordered, which was very frustrating. I couldn’t find any way to contact the owners, so I’m sharing my experience here in hopes of a refund. It feels like the quality and service have really declined since the pandemic.

However, the Subway location on Judge Ely offers a great menu, friendly staff, and delicious sandwiches. I highly recommend that one.
