A real down home bar and grill with a rural Kansas feel. A great selection of American comfort food. If you can 't decide try the chicken fried chicken. Schnitzel is a staple of German immigrant cuisine and you are in its homeland! A quick cruise down themain thoroughfare will place you in walking distance of all the tourist attractions.
First time visiting. Salad that came with the dinner and fries were good. The portion differences between the plates were very noticeable. We had 2 of the chicken friend steaks but one without gravy one with. The one without gravy took up half the plate. The one without was half the size with 2x the amount of gravy.. Catfish came out undercooked, didnt send it back because wewere eating with a friend who bragged about the place. So wouldn't suggest that for anyone and compared to all other meals theportion was very small. On positive side my niece got the kids meal cheeseburger, which ended up with no cheese but got an icecream sundae that made up for it. Will have to try it again on our next visit to town to hopefully have a better experience,it was an extremely busy day when we went.
Wow, this place is incredible! My wife and I had dinner there last Sunday and shared a full slab of ribs for $26.99, which included two sides and a choice of soup or salad. The drink prices were affordable, and the service was prompt and friendly. Those ribs were among the best I've ever had, and I've sampled BBQ across the country! You can choose between sweet or spicy sauce, and we opted for the spicy one. It was fantastic! I would have snapped a photo, but I was too busy savoring the meal.
I visited this restaurant for the first time and had a fantastic experience. The service was prompt, the server was extremely friendly, and the food was tasty without being too pricey. I had a Reuben sandwich and their mac and cheese, both of which were very flavorful. My husband also enjoyed the fish tacos.
My brother brought up an issue to a server, who said he would look into it but didn't follow up until I mentioned it again. He insisted that 6 was the correct number, but we pointed out that the menu clearly stated 8. He explained that they were in the process of updating their menus. I then spoke with our waitress about the matter. She acknowledged that both the menu and the bacon-covered jalapeños were new, but promised to find out why we received only 6 instead of 8. Unfortunately, she also seemed to ignore us, much like the previous server, which forced me to call out to her again for an update. Eventually, she clarified that the menu was indeed new and that the 6 poppers were a typo. It was frustrating, as it felt like we were being given the runaround. I’ve eaten at this restaurant multiple times, and the menu hasn't changed in the past. Additionally, our waitress was not very attentive; of the three times I've been there, she served us twice and showed the same lack of attentiveness both times. It's disappointing, especially when there aren't many dining options around.
