The Albyn
Description
Step into The Albyn for a warm, unapologetically friendly dining experience where pub classics get a bit of theatre. Housed in a cosy, well-decorated space, The Albyn serves hearty roast beef and generous seafood portions alongside burgers, sandwiches and inventive comfort dishes — all matched with a good wine and drinks list. Little details matter here: fresh orange juice arrives with slices and ice, and the room often hums with live music and upbeat energy. Perfect for birthdays, group nights and celebratory evenings, The Albyn blends unpretentious flavour with a night-out buzz.

Feedback
Reviews praise The Albyn's roast beef, generous haddock and lively atmosphere but note occasional limited menus, variable service and that the venue has recently closed.
Lovely bar/restaurant located in central Aberdeen. It is a large venue with inside and outside seating, but does not feel crowded. Food was very nice and there is a good menu selection. Good selection of drinks and cocktails. Staff were friendly and attentative. Will visit again. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £30–40
Beautiful place, great atmosphere however the food i’d not rate sadly. We had pil pil prawns for starter and that was lovely however went downhill from there. The steak was tough as old boots, the cookie with panacotta was so hard and so was the rhubarb. My daughter had to abruptly leave table to go to loo and was very sick. I said to waitress when paying that my daughter wa unwell being sick in loo but she replied “oh that’s a shame”. I said the food was very disappointing and basically she was not interested she said she’d let management know but probs hasn’t bothered. So yes lovely looking place, ambience good but won’t be back to eat. The lady on desk as you arrive was quite unwelcoming and sour faced too. Earlier today I was at the albyn with my family for lunch. I was so excited as I am CELIAC and seen they had their own menu for me. If you have celiac you’ll know the struggle even being able too trust restaurants as you just never know who is making your food. I ordered the GLUTEN free bruschetta and the GLUTEN free albyn burger. Unfortunately shortly after I started reacting very badly too the food. I have had nothing in preparation for this lunch. I have been very ill since 1 hour after having my lunch there. If you are celiac I very much DO NOT recommend this place as they clearly have absolutely not a clue about it. It’s very disheartening as I wanted too like it so much. Very very ill and disappointed. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
Very average food and quite a small plate of it. For a sunday roast you’d expect more than one slice of beef.
