It was a beautiful sunny day to sit outside on Belmont Street, which is a rare occurrence in Aberdeen. My son and I decided to stop by for lunch and indulge in some pancakes. My son thought his pancake with bacon and maple syrup was the best he has ever had. We can't wait to come back again! View all feedback.
What falafffel doesn't like about Books And Beans:
I don't see why this restaurant has such high ratings. The menu mainly consists of plain sandwiches on cheap bread or baked potatoes with unexciting toppings. However, if you're looking for a quick, inexpensive meal for around 5-6 pounds in a central location, it could be worth considering. The atmosphere is pleasant with books scattered around. I was impressed by the charming atmosphere of this restaurant, but I was disappointed by the poor quality of the coffee and the mediocre food selection. The prices were also too high for the items being offered, and there are better vegan and vegetarian options available nearby. I would recommend passing on this place.
Nice coffee and a few vegan bakes to pick from. Nice location and good service
There is only one vegan sandwich option available, which consists of a dry roll with very little filling and a bland salad on the side for £5.75. However, the coffee was delicious!
The cafe is also a book store, so it’s a must go if you love books. You can have a cup of coffee or have your lunch while choosing a book to buy back. A good place to hangout either with friends or by yourself. For vegan options, I wouldn’t say there’re many when I went and staff wasn’t very keen to help out. I had a soup and oatcakes, which was alright, nothing special for food.
