The atmosphere in the restaurant is exactly what you’d hope for—cozy, stylish, and romantic. The service was outstanding and perfectly complemented the ambiance. I was left feeling disappointed after my visit. The prices were quite high, which wouldn't have been an issue if the food had lived up to them, but unfortunately, it did not. The appetizers were decent—I tried the trout pâté, which was satisfactory. However, we waited over an hour for our main courses, and they turned out to be quite disappointing. My wife took me for a romantic getaway today to Woodstock we were looking for a restaurant for dinner. We decided to eat at Sylvias. I'm a steak lover I ordered the aged grass fed ribeye steak medium well. I must say the steak at Sylvias is the BEST ribeye steak that I've ever had in my entire life. Really very impressed with our experience here. everything was perfect! we were allowed to sit anywhere we liked, service was impeccable, courses came out promptly. everything tasted amazing. only thing i’d say … the pork was very very bacony. less like a regular pork chop cooked on a stove (as it was cooked over fire. would recommend if you can handle the strong taste. otherwise the chicken entree is amazing! definitely the highlight of our trip upstate. will definitely be back!
Super cozy. The menu is well thought out. The preparation and presentation were superb. I didn’t realize until later but everything I ordered was vegetarian and it was amazing. My friends both ordered the schnitzel. They loved it. Cocktails were divine. Would love to see a few more options for wine by the glass. Overall, highly recommended.
