Omg. I was trying to eat okonomitaki next to this cafe but decided to skip the long queue give this a try. Cafe Ponte has the best “Western food” I have tried in at least this year. I particularly love their homemade ginger ale which tastes exactly like what it should be! The spaghetti is well cooked and maintains a high level of chewiness. The tomato soup tastes authentically sourced. The bread is soft but not too hot and starchy. More than perfect for its price and view!

Absolutely perfect lunch. I’ve wanted to stop here for a while and caught it on a day it wasn’t so busy. The pizza was delicious and the orange juice is so creamy and fresh! Definitely a must visit in Hiroshima, I can’t wait to go back!

I went up with my elderly, disabled father. We wanted the hot dogs that were advertised. We first tried to get a table, but were told it would be full and it would be a 20-30 minute wait. Fair enough. We decide to get takeout instead. After some waiting, we ordered two of the hot dogs that were heavily advertised as for takeout. After another wait, we were told they weren 't serving food right now. So, I wheeled Dad to the nearby 7/11. Walked by plenty of people eating food on the patio. When we walked back to eat in the park, there were plenty of empty tables. What the heck? It 's a shame because I had previously enjoyed this place with my mother a while ago. Did management change? Was it because of the wheelchair? False advertising on hot dog takeout? Did I miss a sign saying we don 't sell hot dogs at 1:10pm ?

A run of the mill Italian restaurant catering to tourists. Pricier than you'd want and entirely forgettable if it weren't so pricy. The food was eh. The pizza was somewhere between okay and good. The pasta was a bit, shall we say, extra al dente. The servings were tiny, even by Japanese standards. Think three and a half really small shrimp, like 2 cm long shrimp, in a pasta dish with the word shrimp being the main part of the title. And then there was the focaccia, described in the menu as the chef's handmade focaccia. It would bring every single Italian friend I have to their knees in tears. It was a small, thin pita like bread, very likely made from scrap of pizza dough. The look of disbelief, bemusement, and confusion on my wife's face was very similar to what she described as the expression on my face.

This place has surpassed all expectations!!! Incredible tasty and very kind staff with a nice resturant decor to view while youre eating. The Calzone was one of the best I have eaten and it was only 200 yen! The lemon cake dessert was amazing aswell. MUST TRY if youre in Hiroshima!
