Was Anonym at Caffè Ponte a mag?
AMAZING!!! Don't miss it!! I thought the food was terrible because the location and the decor was so perfect, no way they could have good food? Wrong! The food was sooo good!!! Omg this place is so great, even if it is in a tourist area the food is amazing! You can drink, “DRANKS”, dessert, coffee or even a good lunch / dinner. Interior and exterior seats as well as a good service. Try the orange juice, best I ever h... View all feedback.

Absolutely perfect lunch. I’ve wanted to stop here for a while and caught it on a day it wasn’t so busy. The pizza was delicious and the orange juice is so creamy and fresh! Definitely a must visit in Hiroshima, I can’t wait to go back!

Great food and drinks for an affordable price. We got the lunch sets of pizza and salmon risotto with aperol spritz and the total was just 3,000 yen. Fast service and great view location.

Maybe we caught them on an off day, but I can't understand why this restaurant has 4.3 stars on Google. The location is spectacular, but we were asked to add our name to a sheet and wait 1 hour. After returning on time, we were told to wait 10 20mins, which turned into 30. I understand wait times are hard to predict, but people further down the sheet with the same party size had been ticked off as seated. If the food had lived up to the reviews, this wouldn't have been a major issue but the carbonara sauce was effectively melted cheese (as in the pic) and the pizza's toppings slid off the slice when picked up The food we had was far from authentic Italian and I really can't understand the good reviews it's not like it's cheap: this was one of the most expensive meals we had in 3 weeks in Japan....

A run of the mill Italian restaurant catering to tourists. Pricier than you'd want and entirely forgettable if it weren't so pricy. The food was eh. The pizza was somewhere between okay and good. The pasta was a bit, shall we say, extra al dente. The servings were tiny, even by Japanese standards. Think three and a half really small shrimp, like 2 cm long shrimp, in a pasta dish with the word shrimp being the main part of the title. And then there was the focaccia, described in the menu as the chef's handmade focaccia. It would bring every single Italian friend I have to their knees in tears. It was a small, thin pita like bread, very likely made from scrap of pizza dough. The look of disbelief, bemusement, and confusion on my wife's face was very similar to what she described as the expression on my face.

Omg. I was trying to eat okonomitaki next to this cafe but decided to skip the long queue give this a try. Cafe Ponte has the best “Western food” I have tried in at least this year. I particularly love their homemade ginger ale which tastes exactly like what it should be! The spaghetti is well cooked and maintains a high level of chewiness. The tomato soup tastes authentically sourced. The bread is soft but not too hot and starchy. More than perfect for its price and view!
