Was Anonym at K6 a mag?
One of the most famous bars in Kyoto. Many of the former trainees here have opened their own bars. One of them is Bar Rocking Chair. The 2nd floor has 2 main areas. I mean the place was fine but nothing in particular. I found interesting they don’t have a drinks menu, you just ask what you want and they’ll prepare it for you. Do not ask for a refill of crackers because they’ll charge it to you. View all feedback.

Friendly staff who puts heart into recommending you base on your preferences. Atmosphere is very warm and cosy!
A great bar with a classic style. Wide variety of local spirits. I actually had the best old fashioned in my life yet here! They allow ordering food and drinks until 2 am which is a plus. They don't have a cocktail menu so you need to tell the bartenders what you want which is a bit confusing but the staff is very attentive and fluent in English. And an extra thanks to Kenzo for the drinks and conversation! The only minus was that the place smells like smoke and it gets caught in the clothes so I'd give the place a 4.5\5.

This is a classic whisky bar where you can indulge in a wide selection of top-notch whiskies in a relaxed and refined atmosphere. It may come at a price, but the experience is worth it. The food is also quite good.
This is a great bar with a good atmosphere. They have a wide variety of Japanese whiskies and sake. The bartender is very accommodating and willing to customize cocktails for you.

This is a fantastic bar with a classic atmosphere and a diverse selection of local spirits. I tried the best old fashioned of my life here! One of the perks is that you can order food and drinks until 2 am. While they don't have a cocktail menu, the attentive and English-speaking staff can help you choose the perfect drink. Special thanks to Kenzo for his great drinks and conversation. The only downside was the smell of smoke that lingers and sticks to your clothes, so I would rate this place 4.5 out of 5.
The drinks were excellent. The 300 yen sitting fee is a bit disappointing, but I suppose it's typical for Kyoto. The restaurant is very upscale, but it lacks a lively atmosphere.
