I spent probably 3 hours in here chatting with other patrons and the bartender who was extremely kind, funny, and spoke both English and Japanese fluently. They have a wonderful whiskey selection and just about every mixed drink you can imagine on the menu. If you’re in Kyoto and want to hangout in a cool little bar go check this place out. Jesse, the bartender, is friendly and has a good sense of humor. He provided great recommendations for Halloween night festivities in town. Unlike other places that felt too touristy, Fishbowl was recommended to us based on positive Google reviews and did not disappoint. I would definitely return to Fishbowl if I find myself back in Kyoto.
