In the parking lot of Moyashiji Temple, there is a shop selling bread, sake, soft serve ice cream, and various other goods. During events, there are also outdoor vendors which adds to the fun atmosphere.
I was curious about the Wasabi Soft Serve, so I purchased it after visiting Katsuyamadera. I also got the Zunda Soft Serve. Both had a unique texture with the grains still intact, creating a new sensation for my taste buds! The Zunda had a delicious roasted bean flavor that I enjoyed. The Wasabi was spicier than I expected, almost like mustard! But not too spicy at all! It was a completely new experience that didn't feel like eating sweets at all. Since Wasabi is a specialty here, it was a unique experience that I couldn't have anywhere else. (Later, I found them selling it at Chusonji temple too, haha.) I didn't purchase anything else, but they were also selling homemade bread that looked delicious. It seemed like they were made in the same store, and I bet they taste just as good.
This restaurant is run by a cute and humble old man! I thought it was a souvenir shop, but they have bread, freshly picked local vegetables, and ice cream! I ate a Kin'iro Anpan because I was a little hungry, and it was incredibly delicious! I'm sorry for the half-eaten photo, but it's really delicious! Please visit when you come to Mogetsu-ji.
