Finally, I had some free time and decided to try the miso set meal that was highly recommended. I had tried a similar dish at Umami Taosuke a week before, but the portion there was too big. Here, the portion was just right and easy to eat, maybe because it was so delicious that I finished it in no time. My mother felt the same way. A local elderly couple, who seemed to be regular customers, arrived a little later. They both ordered 1.5 portions and enjoyed their meal quietly. I thought about adding an extra portion of meat, but decided to save it for my next visit. The grated yam was really good. I had never had it with beef tongue in Sendai before, but the combination was perfect and I was able to finish my meal feeling satisfied. The portions were generous and the beef tongue stew and curry looked delicious as well. I will definitely come back to try them next time.
