On a Sunday afternoon... it was a restaurant that continues to be loved by the locals. As others have written, above all, it's cheap! And delicious too!! The regular set at the average restaurant would include ramen, half-fried rice, and three pieces of fried chicken, but the half-fried rice comes in a deep dish and there are five pieces of fried chicken, a generous serving! The quantity, taste, and price were all satisfying. If I happen to be nearby, I would definitely want to visit again!
For lunch, I had cold noodles for the first time this season at Ebisuya. As the temperature rises, cold noodles become more enjoyable. It's a bit tough to deal with the traffic jam at the intersection of Route 11, especially when coming from Nagao direction. Traditional Chinese restaurants in town are decreasing, making places like this one a precious find.
I ordered the set meal with half fried rice and ramen for 700 yen. The Chinese soba had a nostalgic flavor and was very delicious. The fried rice also had char siu instead of ham, which added to the nostalgic taste and was delicious too. It felt like a ramen from the Showa era. While tonkotsu and shoyu tonkotsu are good, I still think Chinese soba is the best. I went during lunchtime and most of the customers were men dressed in a traditional Japanese workman style. We ordered the same lunch, but I noticed that the regular customers or perhaps just the male customers had about 1.5 times more fried rice than us.
