It was absolutely gorgeous, the fish and batter was cooked to perfection and the chips were just as good. The shop looked lovely and clean and the staff were very polite and happy. We will definitely use this one again

The chips and fish were decent, but the batter was overly th... read more I recently dined at the food van in Bampton and found that things have changed under new ownership. The chips and fish were decent, but the batter was overly thick and had an orange hue. This resulted in the outside and fish being cooked, but the inside of the batter was semi-cooked and spongy, measuring about 5/6mm thick. It was so under-cooked that it still smelled of flour. After my meal, I was able to form a squishy ball with my hands, almost resembling a pizza base. Surprisingly, there was no line at the van that night, suggesting that more people are opting to stay home. It appears that the current state of the food van does not match any photos that may be circulating.
