They serve delicious pizzas, available in both gluten and gluten-free options. The pizza was delicious and the location was fantastic. The servers were knowledgeable and accommodating when it came to gluten-free options.

They offer gluten-free options for most pizzas and have a large selection of ciders. The p... read more We visited this restaurant one evening during our two-night stay in Winchester. The bar/restaurant has a charming atmosphere and opens up onto the street. The pizza we had was delicious. We would definitely come back if we were in Winchester again.

We were stood for ages waitin... read more We love going to The Stable but sadly our visit fell very short this time around. We booked dinner for 2045 on a Saturday evening. We were stood for ages waiting to be seated even though staff members kept walking past us. We ordered two ciders and asked for a glass of ice on the side. We also ordered tater tots to eat first. The ice was forgotten but was brought over when we reminded them. We were sat waiting a while and started to wonder where our food was. Then our waiter said there was a problem with the ovens and our food was just coming, but could we remind him what we had ordered. He said the tater tots were on the side just coming down and the other food was being cooked as we spoke. He rushed off to the till where we think he put our forgotten about food order through. 5 mins later the tots arrived very hot so clearly had only just come out of the oven not left of the side. 5 mins after our mains came out. The food was great as always but the service was terrible. We think there were quite a few new starters who needed better guidance, the manager spent the whole time behind the bar making drinks when she really should have been on the floor. The staff were more interested in setting up the tables for the next day than making sure the customers were happy. This used to be our go to place for dinner but think we will leave visiting for a while.
