Was Anonym at Periyar a mag?
This is one of my regular haunts. The service s always excellent and the food great. They do not play loud music (so you can actually have a conversation without yelling). The pace is extremely well presented and the clientele appear to dress up a little. (In other words it is a pleasingly couth venue). View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Periyar:
it would have been useful if they did not confirm a booking for a restaurant closed for renovations so that I did not spend thirty minutes drive to him. not so cool! View all feedback.
The food is simply delicious. Some of the best Indian food I’ve ever eaten the service is wonderful! Highly recommend!
Something comforting about a place that will serve same good food consistently time and again. I have eaten there dozens of times, have taken away for us, dinner guests and have had them cater for party of 30. Delicious food...
Great butter chicken on the beach, they have a really nice team here and some really authentic dishes. They also do takeaway which is perfect for on the way home.
Superb Tikka Masala, I travel the country for work, I have my favourite Indian restaurants, but this is something else, pleasant and attentive staff, fantastic location, very clean and an unbelievable Chicken Tikka Masala, make sure you give this place a go
There are Indian Restaurants, then there are Indian Restaurants. Indian food with its complex cooking techniques and fine aromatic flavours, is difficult to get on point. By that critical measure and many others, Periyar Indian Restaurant is absolutely the best. I felt that I could literally sense and taste all the aromas coming together in a delectable three-course meal. Right from the presentation of the dishes, to the creativity and uniqueness of the recipes, I (who usually doesn't gorge on curries) fell in love with Indian food all over again. Special points to mini dosa (highly recommended). Snappy, and really friendly service!
