However,... read more I work downtown and I go here often. I have to order the beet salad because it is one of the best salads I have ever had. I don't stray from it often. However, I have ordered a couple other salads, a fried chicken sandwich and onion rings and all of it was delicious! We went on a Friday night in a group of 4, sat outside. We had great service and the wait time for food was kinda long but our food was fresh and they were packed. I've always had kind and quick service and they always have my call in orders ready by the time they say they will, and that is important with a short lunch!

The opportunity for people-watching, both upstairs and downstairs on the east side, is unmatched.

Our family of four shared two meals, an appetizer, and a few beers, and the bill exceeded $80. The kids' mac and cheese was very simple and came without any sides. The falafel wrap was just okay, a bit bland. The kale chips were soggy, though the bruschetta was good. The beers were decent, and the service was satisfactory. Overall, I don’t think I’ll return. Just a heads-up that it might not meet your expectations—I was hoping for more.

Dining on the patio offers excellent people-watching opportunities. We tried the Chicken Donuts, which were absolutely delicious—highly recommended! We also shared the Black Blue double burger accompanied by a side of Brussels sprouts. The burger was hearty and flavorful, and the Brussels sprouts made a perfect side. We loved exploring this part of old Springfield and thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. We’ll definitely return whenever we’re in the neighborhood.
