Description

Visiting this restaurant may be hit or miss, as it seems to have a mix of positive and negative experiences. Some visitors found the staff to be friendly, the food delicious, and the overall atmosphere welcoming. However, there were complaints about overpricing, uneven charges, poor quality food, and inconsistent service. Despite these drawbacks, the majority of patrons seem to appreciate the affordable prices, friendly staff, and tasty meals. It appears that with some improvements in service consistency and quality control, this restaurant has the potential to be a top-notch dining destination in the Westport area.

Yesterday, we made a pit stop at this restaurant on our way back from Longford. We ordered a delicious toasted ham and cheese sandwich and a cup of coffee. The food was tasty and the waitress was incredibly friendly. This is a regular spot for us whenever we are traveling from east to west and back again. Overall, we had no complaints at all.

If you're looking for a good restaurant to visit on your journey from Westport to Dublin, this is the place to go. They serve simple and delicious food at affordable prices. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the orange squash served with lunch is excellent.

I went to this restaurant with a group of friends and ordered a plate of chips and chicken. The food looked average and I was surprised to be charged the same price as a carvery dinner plate, which was €14. I felt that the meal was overpriced and was not satisfied with my experience. To my dismay, I later discovered that others in my group who ordered the same or more were charged only €3. When I brought this up to the staff, they were already making excuses to my friend about being overcharged as well. It was explained to me that the chicken was priced at €10 for my friend, while others were only charged €3 for a "half portion" that was the same size. I felt unfairly treated and believe that I should have been charged according to what I ordered, not a full dinner. The quality of the food was poor and I would not recommend this restaurant to others.

Knew this place was excellent for food. Have stopped there before. So called in today and had full Irish breakfast. It was great value at €14, included tea and beautiful brown bread. Can highly recommend this place. There's more mushrooms hidden under the egg in the photograph !

My second week here, highly recommended accommodation and food. Tuesday 10th February I had braised steak, absolutely top quality wow best ever. The sticky toffee pudding very tasty. Rooms warm and cosy. Staff of the best you'll ever meet. Highly recommended. I'll be here for 2 nights a week for a while. Love it here. Michelin class meals of the highest standards. The mixed grill i had last week was lovely ,breakfast, lunch and dinner in one. The vegetable soup awesome. Knickerbocker glory was outstanding. Highly recommended hotel.
