I loved this place! Great southern fare in a wonderfully decorated restaurant. We went the $39 'feed me' option which provided a range of tasty treats and resulted in a full tummy. Starters, fried chicken, salads, and dessert. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in Perth! View all feedback.
What Damian Brown dislikes about Meat Candy:
Had the brussel sprouts, wings and fried chicken here. The coating on the fried chicken was one of the crunchiest I've tasted in my life. It wasn't thick and greasy, but really a good, strong crunch. The chicken was also tender. However the seasoning is where it fell short. I could taste no spice or salt. I’ve always wanted to come here but haven’t made the effort, then I heard it’s closing at the end of October and was galvanised to action. Got the medium chicken platter lamb ribs and Brussel sprouts Platter came with wings, tenders and drumsticks, thick sliced white toast, pickles, green apple slaw and fries, enough for people. I want to say the chicken is prepared in the Nashville hot chicken way? There’s hot oil on it. Very tasty and juicy chicken, my favourite was the tenders. Perhaps it could have been a little crunchier but the taste was great. The Lamb ribs of them) were fatty, tender and delicious. Loved them. The sprouts were fried til crispy and caramelised, and came with sunflower seeds, sliced onion, ranch and chilli jam. Yum yum yum. Service is great and quick. It’s a good place to come for a good time. Come on down ASAP before it shuts. I’m sad it took me so long to come, and sad it’s closing. I wish the chef the best for the future.

The chicken was also tender. However the seasoning is where it fell short. I could taste no spice or salt. When you have fried chicken you want a flavour that really hits you square in the jaw and instead it just tasted plain. The wings were the same. The brussel sprouts with a buttermilk dressing however... Whew. Who knew brussel sprouts could taste that good? It was absolutely scrumptious and I would order that over the chicken.
