Great place in the center of the town of Ozark Alabama. This is good home cooking soul food. The Locals are friendly. The atmosphere is likened to a cafeteria with open tables. If you come to Ozark, you have to stop by Hopper grass. View all feedback.

I was very disappointed to discover that Hoppergrass was closed, even though everything pointed to it being open. At least ten cars of customers arrived asking if it would be opening today. In terms of food, I would rate it a solid 4 out of 5, while the service deserves a 5 for its attentiveness. The atmosphere also scores a 5, making it an enjoyable place to eat. I highly recommend trying the Whole Catfish!
I really enjoy Hoppergrass, but it would be great to be able to order some of the dishes that are available only on specific days, like the fried livers on Tuesdays and the bone-in catfish on Fridays. Since I finish work at noon and usually arrive around 12:15, I often find that they're already sold out. Most lunch breaks don't begin until noon, so I hope they will take this into account. We have eaten here several times and the food has been good each time. The staff were helpful and polite. It is a very popular place on Sunday after church but we were seated and eating in no time. They hove a fair assortment of items to choose from foryour meal.
My husband l have been here about 3 or 4 times. The food is always good very filling. The staff is very friendly helpful! We never leave hungry always more than l can eat ! A very nice homey atmosphere! Thank you to each of you that makethis a good place.
