Great location, good outdoor seating, I love the fact they offer a discount for students of 10%, always consistent with the food, the crispy chicken and rice bowls are awesome. View all feedback.

Had lunch there and although the train was almost empty that was fine as I prefer to order fresh anyway. Can't complain about the food or service and found it on par with the Sushi train chain. So it was ok and good for a quick lunch View all feedback.

Such a dissappointment. Arrived at around 7pm on Monday night, only 2 other people there and around 6 items on the train, 4 staff who were all completely disengaged. Asked for vegetarian options was directed to the menu, did offer to take order but this is were the service stopped. Plenty of awkward moments attempting to get the attention of staff to fond out what was on the train, obviously they had no interest that we were wanting food, one syllable answers then wonder off again, try to get there attention again, finally and get thats egg... would of been so simple to actually engage us, offer information and ask if we wanted to order.. crappy sushi, crappy expereince.. not my first train but will be my last at this store... had 2 items and left... thumbs down... and not a dessert in sight..
We stepped into this place for lunch because our teen daughters have very different preferences and sushi places let them cater to their pickiness. Usually we like sushi train restaurants because you get to see the food and maybe get tempted to try something new that you would not pick based on seeing it on the menu. However, this place was so not worth of our time. There is no point having a sushi train if you only have like three tired-looking items cruising around. When we arrived there was only one overwhelmed looking woman behind the counter trying to keep up with a healthy crowd of customers. Some five minutes later a group of other cooks/servers poured out of the back door where they were probably taking a break and talking about the real reasons why they came to Sunshine Coast (like partying). The whole place was run by non-Japanese people in their teens and/or early twenties and it showed. After giving up hope on getting much from the 'sushi train' which circulated nearly empty for fifteen minutes we placed orders directly. It took a while and everything was about twice the price that you would pay at other restaurants. We had to ask for everything ourselves as there was no attempt at 'service' from the staff. We did not get sick so this is why I rank the place as 'poor' rather than 'terrible'. I usually do not expect much from restaurants in touristy places but this place was even worse than a norm. It is barely a functioning restaurant. It needs adult supervision.
We ended up throwing away the sushi we purchased from there. The rice was fine, but the fish was terrible and the tempura vegetables were mostly batter with only a few small pieces of vegetables.
