Oko Oko
Description
A recent visit to Oko Oko restaurant provided a mixed experience for diners. While the food received praise for its taste and variety, some customers found the atmosphere lacking and the service slow. The menu offers a range of options, from okonomiyaki to ramen and fried rice, with some unique twists. The staff were friendly and accommodating, though there were some complaints about dishes being too salty. Overall, Oko Oko seems to be a hit-or-miss dining destination, with some patrons enjoying their meals while others found the experience less than satisfactory.

Very interesting store concept that revolves around Okonomiyaki (Japanese savoury pancake). Food is quite good, and reasonable prices.
We ordered four dishes. The Teriyaki chicken Ramen was made with instant noodles instead of traditional ramen, but the chicken tasted good! The fried rice had only a few pieces of unagi, but the tamago was delicious despite the slightly salty sauce. The staff was very friendly and the kitchenware was nice.
If you haven’t had okonomiyaki, then you are missing out. Basically it’s a Japanese savoury pancake filled with veges (mainly cabbage). I got the bbq beef with cheese okonomiyaki. It was very filling. I enjoyed my lunch and for the price it represented good value. Lots of options for your okonomiyaki. Great for the students and workers in Carlton.<br/ <br/
