I discovered Darren’s American Grill quite by accident. I had had surgery back in June and couldn’t drive for two weeks. During that period, I ordered food from a lot of places through Uber Eats. One of the places I found through this process is Darren’s. I have only had breakfast from there, but it is always excellent. I finally went there this morning to order my breakfast in person. The food was not great. My chicken fried steak was not done cooking when it was plated, the cheese slices on my daughters grilled cheese were not melted and the chicken fried chicken was underwhelming. The tater tots were good, the fries tasted like freezer burn but the sweet tea was great as well as the staff. They may have just been having a bad day but we will not be back. View all feedback.
