La Marea, located in a bustling area, offers excellent food with a wide variety of options served by a wonderful staff. However, the noise level inside can be overwhelming due to the hard surfaces that reflect sound, impacting the overall dining experience. Despite occasional disappointments with certain dishes being too salty or lacking flavor, the top-notch quality of the ingredients used in the meals is evident. The ambiance varies depending on the time of day, with quiet mornings contrasting with lively weekend nights. While not recommended for young children due to the more mature atmosphere, La Marea is a great spot for adults to enjoy delicious food and a fun environment. Despite some mixed reviews, many guests have had positive experiences and plan to return, appreciating the attentive service and tasty dishes offered by this popular restaurant.

Was Maracaibo Expres at Junction a mag?
Glad we had made a reservation as restaurant was packed n a Saturday night! Place was hopping! Our server was a young man who was running in all directions but still managed to get everything out to us on time! Delicious food. Ceviche was to die for as well as my Bullwhip cocktail! What Lolita Trantow dislikes about Junction:
I've been here a couple of times but this time it was a little disappointing. The braesola starter which I love really saved up on the mushrooms. And they were plain old mushrooms, not the fabulous wild mushrooms they had in the past. I was amazed. The pasta specifically was salty and dry. The fried calamari and prawns were very salty too. The quality of the food that goes into the meals is really top notch. In their... View all feedback.
We went at 8:30pm on a Sunday night, closing was 10pm. It was basically us and a few regulars at the bar who were quite noisy. They had clearly been there for some time and were loud, using foul language and talking about things that mama shoulda taught them not to talk about in the presence of a lady. The food was good, albeit pricey. Had one specialty drink and it was good. I wouldn’t go back on account that we were out of town guests and this seems more of a spot for locals that want to hang out and be loud.

The service was terrific. Brian was great. Based on other reviews, we were a bit disappointed in a couple of the dishes. We started with the Brussels, and we were pleasantly surprised by the healthy portion. I ordered the rabbit sausage etouffee, my wife had the pork tenderloin. Mine was quite tasty and satisfying. The pork, on the other hand, was salty and a little tough. We had the apple pecan tamale for dessert. We each had a bite and sent it back. It was dense and lacking in flavor. We had high hopes. Maybe it was just an off night.
We visited the restaurant at 8:30 p.m. on a Sunday night, with closing time at 10 p.m. It was mostly empty, with only a few regulars at the bar who were quite loud. They were talkative and used foul language, discussing topics that were inappropriate in the presence of a lady. The food was tasty but on the pricey side. We tried a special drink that was delicious. Overall, I probably wouldn't return as we were out-of-town guests and the atmosphere seemed more suited for locals who want to be rowdy and loud.
