However, I had a surprising experience today when I went to pick up my online order. Instead of handing me my wrapped sandwich at the counter, the staff member tossed it to me underhand from where she was standing. This place is trash! Ya the subs are huge but I rather have a smaller sub that is actually good quality. I would never eat at any of these alls again it is straight View all feedback.
I consistently rely on Al's to offer me a delicious, affordable lunch that is always on time and never disappoints. The staff is friendly and recognize me by face and name, even though it's a chain location in a busy part of Cambridge. I usually order the chicken salad with American cheese, lettuce, and onions. I prefer to order ahead, but if you order in person, the line moves very quickly. The Kendall Square area is filled with 'artisanal' and 'modern' dining options, but while Al's may not be groundbreaking, it is still a fantastic deli that serves great, affordable deli food.

What if I hadn't caught it, or if the sandwich had been messed up from being tossed? Would they have remade it without issue? This was an unexpected moment for me, and I believe it's something that should be avoided in the future.
The sandwiches were delicious! They were large and packed with flavor, and I would highly recommend them. The staff was incredibly friendly as well.
Thus place is unbelievable. Their subs are huge and delicious. It's a nice Location too...clean and it looks new. If you're looking for an Italian, meatball or chicken parm sub...this is your place. I live relatively close, so I often come here on my scooter.
Fantastic food! This is undoubtedly one of the best sandwich spots in Boston. The only drawback is the limited seating available inside. However, you can always grab a sub and enjoy it outside in the lawn chairs at Tech Square.
